That's cheap!

I'm sure you push the button where the key goes in, just like e30s. Are you sure the seats go down?

yeah the seats defo go down, theres a catch but the levers showing dont actually do anything?

with the boot theres not actually a key slot, button or a handle in sight?

yeah its a good price + its got mot till october, fresh tyres, hoods good, clutch, brakes etc, steerings got a weird knock, gearbox links need refurb/replace, and a general tidy up, electrics need sorting also, and the engines currently dead.... but still not bad for £300 :D

I just had a look on ebay at one of these and there is a lock in the middle of the boot. maybe turning it with the key will open it.

Yeah I just had a look at one as well after you said that, some Pillock seems to of removed the lock and gone for the flushed look, no way to open from inside either + no remote fob, wiring with t-taps around boot area think it might be linked to a popper release, however no switch in sight, wiring is in bundles in the footwell so he might of cut the switch off.... Ahhh shite!

 its not bad to work on though, about an hour had most of the interior stripped out, and figured out how to open the boot with help of a screwdriver! + i realised im missing 200cc as someone has done an engine swap to a 1.6 gti, sorted out the hood and cleaned out 21 years of shit... not bad for an hours work!
