Rusty dog! Look at the state of the fit of those glove boxes.
They have grown on me over the years but I hated them when they were current.
This has taken my eye. Shame it's not an "i":

I had an identical one to that. The interior was black velour though. My first e30 came after this.bss325i wrote:B7 wrote:This has taken my eye. Shame it's not an "i":

I had a pair of 2.8i Ghia X's, one silver and one Caspian blue about 16 years ago.Gert_8 wrote:I had an identical one to that. The interior was black velour though. My first e30 came after this.bss325i wrote:B7 wrote:This has taken my eye. Shame it's not an "i":

My X was Glacier Blue with blue chatsworth trim.
And I know of an original 1984 A plate factory 5 speed manual iX in Paris blue. Sat in a field completely rotting away. And the guy will not sell it!

F ucking Grandad bile! You boys can keep your Dagenham junk, the SD1 is mighty cool, but i've always said, an early 3.5. in poor fettle, always sounds the best, the sound of a knackered V8 is wonderful.
I've had 2 SD1's, a very ropey 2.3S, and an '86 Vanden Plas V8, sadly the VDP lasted one full week before the auto box shat itself, still, I only paid £260 for it and sold it again for the same.
Would love another but the prices are on the rise
No pics of the V8, but here is the 2.3S.......

And yes, I lived in the caravan behind, Steve K, eat yer heart out

Police Camera Action-- The Liver Run
A Police Rover SD1 picks up a Liver from Stanstead Airport and has a time limit to rush it to a central London Hospital, Police Driving at it's best

Good man, my all time favourite video, I remember watching it when it was originally on television, Alastair Stewart presented it IIRC, that was a few years ago now

My father in law owned a dark blue Rover SDI. from what I recall, it was a fantastic car to drive. Very quick.
My fave bit was the air vent directly in front of the driver, in the middle of the dash, so on a hot summer's day you got a face full of cold air.

One of my primary school teachers used to have an SD1.. Horrible old french woman known for locking naughty kids in the cupboard. Used to scare the bejesus out of me whenever I saw her Rover roll up in the morning.
Funnily enough opening that eBay link brought a sense of fear over me that I haven't felt since being a knobbly knee'd 8 year old back in the early 90's.
