I've got a SL Mercedes here. I thought it had a 6.5" mid bass speaker like the Euro and US market cars but this Jap car has a speaker simular to 5.25" speaker but slightly smaller so Im guessing its closer to a 4".

I also have a sub in the rear compartment with an amp at the bottom.

Looks like the same speaker and its also blown.

With the Jap turd i've recently acquired, it has an all singing and dancing Bose set up, for a standard car install it is superb, so I would say Bose speakers.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...

I doubt they are Bose. They look pretty low rent at 20w to be honest especially for a chariot such as this! At least the impedance looks fairly common unlike many factory systems that now use strange impedance values.

I reckon your best bet Mo, is a merc breaker unless you trawl through the speaker manufacturers to find a custom fit one.

Kos has contacts in audio circles. May be worth dropping him a line.

The freak would prefer one, especially if it had the white doilies on the headrests and a 'scented' steering wheel :)
