Here you go. I knew I'd catch up with it again one day.

A good while ago i spotted this in a car park in Horley but failed to get pics. Telling Rog about the decals on it we racked our brains about what Ltd edition it was. It's an Oscar!

Now while our Rog loves a five, I still think they are complete shit. :D However, even I found myself drawn to it this morning while picking some rims up from the tyre garage.

23k, owned from new by the same guy (actually his wifes car) the thing is as close to new as you can get. Even the backs of the wheels had no dirt or rust on the rims. Proper Paedo spec!

So just so Rog can w ank himself silly, I give you what has to be one of the best R5's left in existence i would think

The guy waxes it regularly with AG SRP but used to use MER when it was new. People used to swear by that stuff. I tried it once and thought it was crap. But it obviously worked on this car. The paint was stunning.

That's a nice wee thing. They were a great little car in the day, much better than rubbish like the Metro and Fiesta. They never seemed to rust (unlike the original R5) and the engine was a strong old thing.

If that were a 5 GT Turbo, it would be well into 5 figures.

Interestingly, my early 5 ('87 vintage) had very little rust, dented to buggery with the wafer thin bodywork, but rust free. By contrast I bought a spares 5 of '96 vintage and the rust was proper hardcore, the windscreen for example I removed without the need to remove any trim 8O
