I bought a pair of s/h rear ABS sensors and checked their resistance with my meter to give me a 'ballpark' figure for the one's on the car.
Went to remove the n/s rear wheel to discover that the tyre 'fitter' who mounted the new front tyres just before Christmas had destroyed the security wheel nut gadget...so I had to buy a hardened remover kit from ebay. This worked a treat, gave it a tap with a birmingham spanner to start it off and it wound the security bolt off in seconds.Located and checked the ABS sensor and it's resistance reading was wildly different to the replacements,so it was swapped.A quick roadtest showed that I had sorted the problem at the first wheel, just as well,as it took me several hours to seperate the security nut from my new tool and I also damaged my bench vice in the proccess

But I took the cat for it's MoT this afternoon, and it passed!

With advisories for 'light misting' on both front dampers.
