So the Mrs was gassing on after work the other night about usual teacher stories, blar blar blar and mentioned there was this old sports car in one of the barns. The school was given it as a project but the teachers think its too dangerous for the kids anyway so don't want it.

Anyway with parents day coming up they have to tidy the place up a bit and wanted rid of it.

So popped down and had a look and this is what I found

Seems to be a Robin Hood made and looks to be based upon a 1984 ford sierra, took a few pics:

Not as bad as I was imagining it to be.

I don't know much if anything about the laws now for kit cars, last time I looked as long as it passed an MOT that was it.

Am tempted to get it so enquired about the price and suggested a charity donation and I'll take it away. It's a dead posh private schools so they don't care about its value. Should find out Monday if it's got a new home. Can't help thinking what Have I let myself in for ! But could be a fun little project :)

Anyone done a kit car on here?

I was gonna say it don't look like its been there for long, it's far to clean and tidy to have been sat for ages

As it has already been on the road it should have passed the SVA test before registration.

Would just need mot, Robin Hood cars are a bit bargain basement but you should make a few quid on it if you can get it for cheap :)

You will enjoy driving it, I built a Westfield running 200bhp. Don't be too surprised if you find it a little slow and want to upgrade the engine, they get addictive 8)

Still waiting mate. The teacher at the school who is looking after it said he would check with the chap who donated it that he would be happy if the school passed it on. Am still waiting to find out and now they ere on summer holidays it could be a while.
