Big Brake Kit alternative?

My wife asked me to paint the calipers on her car red. I cannot bring myself to do such a thing. I thought I would upgrade her brakes for her birthday. I don't want to spend 1000s on a big brake kit. Is there a cheaper alternative? Like taking 4 or 6 pots from another car like you can for the E30?
Her car is a Hyundai Tucson 2.7 2008.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if someone could point me to another good forum, that would be great. I've already tried a couple of hyundai forums but it looks like its hardly ever used. Nowhere near e30zone.
Thanks everyone.[/list]

Are u serious?
If my birthday present to the wife was a brake upgrade she'd kick me in the b0ll0ks! Mind you, if I bought her a Hyundai, she'd do me even more damage

Haha yeah. I didn't plan it. She told me she likes the way car look with red calipers. I told her they are performance brakes which are different. She doesn't know the difference. She just wants me to paint them. But that's so fake and tacky. I couldn't let her drive round with painted OEM calipers. So I was thinking I could find used parts from other cars to build a 4 pot kit. I know this can be done for the e30 so I'm guessing the same can be done for any car.

In all seriousness, it's all meant in good fun. You'll see a lot of wind ups on this site. Some have even been known to get out of hand.

I'm not getting on at you, but surely you had to be open to a bit of ridicule for what is genuinely a ridiculous proposition. Rather than spend £20 on a tin of red high temp calliper paint you're willing to waste a few £££ on a big brake kit for a small SUV?
