didnt really expect people to be so rude and sarcastic.

as someone who is an enthusiast about cars, prospective of purchasing a car this forum revolves around, to be met with sarcastic comments and general rudeness.

and you cant find the brows anywhere apart from japan, they arent the same as the ones on ebay.

i think some of you should be ashamed really, it may be your opinions, and i respect that, but really, be more mature, most of you are over 20 and just start slating someone who appreciates thier car.

really makes someone want to be a part of the club, especially after ive read so many times people are complaining the club "isnt what it used to be"

im gonna go for a 316 touring.

i want to wrap it matte black, get some all red tail lights (might even build some LED lights) get some dish on it slam it :)

really want something to criuse round in, nothing fast or pokey or anything.

I understand its just a bit of banter, but its hard to read banter on the internet ;)

A 316i will be dead!!!!! but cheaper insurance

Might as well go for the rat look. Wrapping is fiddly work, someone on here did a decent rat look. Not my cup of tea but its done right! :D

Some nice person might throw up a link!

I dunno man. The zone has fucked me up.

I in all honesty dont mind the yaris. I wouldnt have the eyebrows, and i wouldnt have bought a red one, id have it black or that gold they come in, slammed on ATS cups and probably leave it at that.

But yeah welcome anyway, theres a guy on here recently got his touring matte black vinyl wrapped and it looked pretty good. I might be selling my 9J borbet As if your wanting dish, matte black touring on As would look the absolute tits. Rat look on beemers now, due to rusty, no matter how its done looks like your copying, keep it simple and euro and youl be onto a winner.

ignore the old queens on here you'll get them where ever you go.

yeah i had it alot on YCUK, "why would you mod a diesel" blah blah, a car is modified for me and me only, which was why i blew £150 odd on the brows, because i fell in love with how aggressive they were.

it was what made me happy, i was really happy with the car, but im loosing touch with it, im wanting something criusey. something that does need TLC so i can learn more, im already pretty knowledgable but theres room for more, id love to learn to recondition an interiour, clean up an engine bay, fix rust.

thats what i like, i spend so much time dreaming what i want to do to a car, but the yaris is waaaaaaay to expensive for very little gains. i want to fit a bozo style oil cooler and stuff, cause its what I like :)

It's been said before & it'll be said again a thousand times, you modify the car to how you want it not how someone says you should have it.

as for learning how to do the work on the car yourself? Well the e30 is very good for that.

all the help & advise you could ever need is here you just need to ask.

as I said ignore the old queens they just get in a lather at times at the thought of something different from the norm.

cheers! ive already done alot myself before for friends and my own car, never attempted anything i knew i couldnt do.

i like the simplicity of the cars, it seems like theres alot to explore with them still!

when i get it ill have to have a drive up to mansfield, may ask you in future if you dont mind helping me source one in the new year.

i know one of the first things ill do is underseal and treat rust. and a big ole' service.

Hey mate,

I'm quite surprised at the shi££y reception you got with this post!

To be perfectly honest, I thought this was a pi$$ taking post to start with purely because I naively didn't realise the Yaris had a following! But by the time your car got to this stage:

Image

I thought it was starting to look quite smart.

Guys, rather than giving sarcastic comments like this:
Topblag wrote:really like the air filter, should be perfect for sucking hot air from the engine bay into the mixture, ideal for a reduction in engine output.
impart some of your oh-so-obvious knowledge instead! 59Drifty, sucking warm air from inside the engine bay is not the best idea. Not sure how much you know but as air temperature increases, it expands, therefore, you can't get as much into the engine. Less air = reduction in performance. Go back to the factory air filter for performance sake.

I've never had a response like this and I can't remember seeing one which is why it has surprised me (this is my first post like this!)

It must be something to do with the fact it's not an E30, people are getting offended. To be fair though, you've had more response on this post than most others get!

Everyone on here would've had a dodgy car at some point, there's probably a 'shi£ cars in my past' post somewhere! My first road legal car was a Mk1 Nova 1.2 Merit which was boy'd up to the Max (Power)! I loved it at the time.

When you've got the E30, you'll get a better welcome and more helpful advice because there are people on here with a load of knowledge but cannot obviously see past their own preferences.

In the meantime, whack a set of 15 inch BBS on the Yaris and they'll love it!!!

yeah i didnt realise it was in the wrong section, my apologies, and thanks for the kind feedback... and the uh.... not so kind! haha

as for the pictures im pretty clueless as to what youre talking about LOL

in regards to the air filter, it was actually fed directly behind the grille! so it got a better air feed than you'd think.

I meant taking my time in carefully choosing what parts, such as Envy Coilovers (which are just BC coilovers without the camber adjustment) and the brows, and what i meant by chav chariot was that i didnt put a huge exhaust on it and a wild bodykit and 17" chrome ripspeed rims :)
