Has anyone owned one before.
I know someone who interested in a late SL320. What I want to know are the servicing costs and most importantly will they hold their value?
Any whats the price range for a low owner, well looked after one?

I have had a few. Buy the best you can afford and check EVERYTHING. £2500 ebay hounds ,if not scrap, usually need the asking price spent in the first month to get them resembling a useable car.
My choice would be the 500, for the sake of 4 mpg less , it is a much better car. The 320 V6 is good, but the V8 is better
Prices are still depreciating, albeit fairly slowly so unless you get a deal, you won't be seeing a profit any time soon.
Like all cars, paying more for a low owner/ low mileage nice spec car will always be repaid come resale time.
