Hi Guys,
I've been looking at an m5, but the clocks and the ecus have been sold. Will a replacement ecu and ewes module get it working again or does it need the clocks too? Are the ecus coded to the car/engine? I know the ecu will need re flashing to work in the e30, but I want to hear it running before I hand over a chunk of cash!

Any help would be great.
Cheers Chris.

Ecu and ews have to be from the same car along with the key.

As for the clocks.. not sure, you might start it...but it would be smart to know if it's all ok (warning lamps etc...)

So they all need to be from the same car then. I can see this being a major ball ache! Think I'll keep looking.

Cheers Chris.

second hand speedo will work but you would have to get a lock set from another car, ecu ews key and barrels to get it running
