Yeah for sure.Karan wrote:im sure pete has better things to do to be honest....
Pacerpete is a legend really, so I hope it isn't him!
He knows alot about BMW and has owned most decent ones built I think!
He's an aussie chap with a decent sense of humour, who can offend if you take comments about you/your car to heart!
Top man though!
Who is 'pomebastard'? I would be interested to know.

bmw 328i sport e36
Another forum member who needs to climb back into the hole he came out of. There aren't too many people out there who would dismiss the fact that what Glenn is doing is fantastic. It's individual, a brave task and something a lot of us would like to have a crack at but just haven't got the gutts.pomebastard wrote:Karan... you Wombat... no-one gives a Sh1t about that.

Pome, I'm willing to pay top dollar to see you line up next to Glenn for a 1/4 in your e30 (if you have one) or even an M5! Gotta say my money would be on Glenn as no doubt you've still got your L plates on.
As for better things to do with you cash?? Like what??? If he wants to drop a bigger lump into his car who are you to say that's a stupid idea? Am I allowed to suggest you spend your more wisely by booking yourself in for a lobotomy??
As for the holiday thing, well some of us have these things called JOBS. Where we can afford to do many things. I've just come back from Egypt. I was in the Caribbean last year, I bought a second house, built a bar in my garden (BMKev's 2nd home) built a highly modded mitsubishi, and next saturday I will be the proud owner of an 325i which I am going to work on. So tell me I can't buy a motor and spend a lot of time and money making even better than it already is.
Love & kisses

Looking awesome mate, that cars going to be mental.
Also noticed Pomebastard's attitude on a few occasions.Whats the point in asking people for advice about things and then slaggin other people off. I think your the one that needs a bird mate, take your cock out of your exhuast and get out the house. Theres some decent chaps on here, all of whom help each other, so everybody be cool.....

fabricated the engine mountings this morning, so this
is the final position for the engine.
next is to mount the gearbox
(couldn't get it in with the gearbox on)
this may alter the angle slightly, but hardly anything.

agreed, Pete is not pomebastard,
user is in the spotlight guys, what do you want done though??, bans are futile as the offenders just log on with new names, IP ban is no use as 100s can't get on site.
so for now a word to pomebastard, wind your next in a tad dude, you're annoying a few members, we cant all have the same opinions I realise but some are best kept off screen.
Consider it a warning M8

not given much thought to that yet ,karan.
did look at it the other day when i took it off out the way,
and thought i could mount it more forward along the inner bay, then activate it with an extesion rod, quite easy that one karan,
i did n't think about it too much because i can always use a remote servo if i have to

brake options are limitless
remote servo
hyd booster (ians beast)
porsche setup ( wills hybrid)
one I'm surprised no-ones tried is modify the existing setup so its inside the car, means no glovebox and some mods to the pipes and brake linkage but it could be done no worries.

or a full-on floor mounted pedal box would be interesting
there are many options---that is just the problem.... what best.
i'm definitely going the hydraulic route as it seems easy enough to fit and should give good assistance--but it may be a bit on/off in its function...
was just wondering what u were going for glenn with that humoungous engine in there

im away from the car doing exams in bristol at the moment-
old engines out, m5 engine prepped to come out
got most bits like coilovers, m3 arms/wheels, 3.64 lsd, mounts,
i wanna strip all the suspension components and repaint them all nice and new also while its all out!
im back on it nxt weekend--plan is to get engine in and sort wiring (i have all connectors etc... thanks Ian!!) and fire it up
i was fekkin around last week removing multiple immobilisers from the damn engine side of the loom!! which was not fun. a lot should happened around easter time
however there are some issues with my 2.7 with possible shagged bottom end, so i may start pissing round with that instead.-also new diff and sport box to go on that!! as well as control arms/dizzy/rotor/plugs
will be picking up my hydraulic brake stuff from an e23 nxt week, and also an e36 rack to whack on while im in there-would be silly not to really.
then once its in get box in with necessary mods with my hammer to the shell
. then measure up for a prop, get that made, then she'll be off to hayward and scot for manifold mods and maybe a nice custom system too (fund permitting!)
interior is gonna have to stay stock iS, as is the exterior, but i'd like an alpina front spoiler maybe... the front metal valance is not perfect so i'll be getting another to go on there too
lots of work -will be doing all of it apart from exhaust and prop...
do u know anyone apart from hayward and ascot who could make a manifold up or mod my priginal?
cheers

Id leave it blank or get 350i made up! Having a 316i badge on the back of a monster like that sells it short!
