fuel ump relay issues, swap?

ive got an m10 engine with a fuel pump relay that's becoming a real issue, its getting worse.
the relay seems to be making good contact with the holder pins but will not prime sometimes, just pop it out and in with ignition on and it will prime fine and run fine, but this is becoming an every time start up event, as you see very annoying.
was consider swapping it to later relay versions with a holder and wiring diagram,
1 can it be done
2 what do i need
3 what price are we talking compared to buying correct relay
