As some may now a while back (quite a while back) I got a 4 branch for my M10 project. When trying to fit it I quickly realised that there was no way it was going to fit around the steering column. Ive got an iS manifold which will clear the steering but the ports are to close together to match up to the M10 head.

Would it be easy enough to have a stainless flange made to match that of the M10 head and then have the iS manifold modified so that the ports match upto the new plate?

I've started modifying the 4 branch that I had but i'm not 100% happy with how its looking at all.

The one that doesnt fit:

M3's are LHD tho so I'm not sure it would clear the steering column.

Yes but probably easier to mod an M3 manifold to clear the column than mod the flanges on an M42 and get the runners spaced out enough for the M10 port distances.

Give Nigel at Moseley Motorsports a ring. The last time I was down there he had an S14 rhd manifold on the shelf.
Otherwise he will know where to get one from.

Got a few s14 manifolds and having a rhd m3 it a simple mod to clear the manifold trouble is s14 manifolds are not cheap

Correct me if i am wrong but a m10 head has two studs per port and a s14 has four

Type in T5 Top Speed performance into your browser and they sell a stubby manifold that fits both left and right hand drive easily
only two pipes to modify to clear the rack

That was my thinking too. With an s14 or m42 maifold (already have an m42 manifold to mess with).

Does anyone know if the stock cast manifolds are the same for LHD and RHD cars? With the only difference being the downpipes?

Thanks
