Due to the rarity of V8 manual gearboxes, I've been considering alternatives and came accross this:
Gearbox Adaptor
It's from PMC motorsport and they also supply a flywheel spacer to allow the 6 cylinder flywheel to be used:
Spacer
Or a complete aluminium flyweel:
Flywheel
Has anyone tried them? It certainly seems a decent solution and provides an alternative source of common boxes.
Cheers
PMC Motorsport gearbox adaptor on ebay, anyone used one?

Hi!
I've bought one earlier this year, but didn't have time to complete eveything. You have to shave some material off of the gearbox housing on the outside.
On the M62 you must use the M60 vibration damper because the teeth for the crank position sensor prevent you from mating the two adapter plates. Either use the M60 flex plate or have the teeth removed from the M62 flex plate.

Sorry, Id completely missed your reply @C_Firpo
Good to know that the bits arrived, and fitted. I'm using an M60, so hopefully wont have the issues with the flex plate to deal with.
Did the two parts allow for the different bellhousing angles of the various boxes? or just one orientation?
How did it work out with the RHD starter position?
Thanks

Will be keeping a good eye on this thread as down under the gearbox is the major stumbling block of getting all the bits together!
