Wiki article on M6x swaps is being written, and it needs plenty of info and pics. Loom, gearbox, engine mounts, the lump itself; any and everything is appreciated.

If you've written a thread about your swap, just post the link here. If you've got your pics on your PC, PM me and I'll tell you where to email them.

Cheers guys :D

Right, I've trawled the forums until my eyes bled, and knocked up this:

M6x Engine Swap

If you have a quick read you'll notice to immediate gaps: Exhaust Pipes and Loom. I couldn't find any specific info on these, so if anyone can point me in the direction then it'd be appreciated.

As for the rest, if you've got 5 mins then please take the time to read it and point out any errors. As far as I'm aware, this will be the only RHD-specific installation guide on the 'net so it's important that any mistakes are picked up and corrected.

My thanks to everyone who posted in the forum, as that's where all the info comes from.

There isn't much on the loom sides of things because all you do is change the engine plug X20 to a E30 plug with some wire and terminal swap age and jobs a gooden. I have links on my post and google is your friend.

As for exhaust manifolds, it's a bastard in short.
Get some X5 manifolds because they are 2x 2 -1 manifolds and a little bit easier to modifiy around the steering Column.

Search is your friend and your not looking hard enough haha

Bare in mind not all M60 looms are the same though so you may need to do some wiring diagram searching

Cheers for your comments guys.

Ben: Talking about searching and using google doesn't help much. I'm not doing this swap myself, I'm just trying to compile the Zone resources into one handy page. So any links you can provide would be useful.

Glenn: What M50? :o: My current plan is to put the S62 swap on a separate page because it seems there are enough differences to warrant it. But cheers for the ECU info.

Will: Don't make this any harder than it has to be :D

Electrics seem to typically cause bit of problems. Here's german version of different DME's in E30; http://wp1016621.server-he.de/fotost/f01971/f01971.htm
