has anyone try moving the oil filter housing to make way for the rad hose?
iv managed to get mine slightly on a tilt. would this affect the oil flow in anyway?

There are couple of examples @ e30.de

Remote filter assembly would be nice, as the original filter housing does indeed sit on the "wrong" place.

Tilting it shouldn't affect anything really, as the oil flow is pressurized anyways.

I moved mine right over to the wing, the lines can be sorted by a hosing company as they can use the original fittings, sits nicely and gives you better access to the top rad and looks 100 times better

What's that Shaz? The oil filter hosing lugs you took back an inch.
The M62 has a relocated oil filter hosing with about a foot of hose If anyone doesn't want the hassle of tilting the housing on the m60
