propshaft question

No direct fit, as suitable propshaft behind 6-speeder is from E34 / E32 / E39 / E38 and they have the CV joint in the rear of the shaft and no splined joint in the middle.
The way i went with this was that i used E30 rear part (same diameter as in e.g. E39 M5), E34 540 front part and local shop joined them together with a splined joint from an MB.

do you know if the m62 auto prop is ideal for the chop? I can not find a manual one to complete mine? when you say MB splined joint is it not possible to do this with just the e30/e39 unit?
E39 / E32 / E34 / Ewhatever (V8 engines): http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E39/S ... ity_joint/
E30: http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E30/2 ... vel_joint/
......
BMWFans tells you which cars have the big "hardyscheibe" / front mesh on the propshaft.

Im just getting the gearbox flange grafted on to the front of a 325i prop.
