Hi guys,
I am in the last stages of a veeeeeery long project.
One of the last snags I am dealing with is relocating the brake master reservoir. What did you all use to do this? I am in South Africa and am struggling to get 12mm inner diameter brake fluid safe hose.
The other snag is the ECU, where did you secure it? The tail on the connector doesn't seem to reach the original locating point and I cant see a good place for it.
Sorry if these are stupid questions!
Cheers,
Rob
Possibly a stupid question, help with last steps.

I'm really curious about where everyone has mounted their ECUs too. Im looking at an m60 winning loom and it will either need a serious extension to get it under the dash board, or ???? Maybe it could be mounted to the bulkhead, but I can't imagine it pretty or particularly weather proofed. Any one got any pictures as I can't find any here.
Cheers Chris.
Cheers Chris.

Hardly surprising. 12mm internal diameter is extraordinarily large! Normal ID for brake hoses is only in the order of 2.5mm or so, with a typical OD of 4.76mm.RobF wrote:I am in South Africa and am struggling to get 12mm inner diameter brake fluid safe hose.
A typical remote brake fluid reservoir would use a length of flexible hose with an ID of around 4.76mm, but beware, as some such hoses, even ones supplied with remote reservoir kits, tend to 'weep' fluid, which can damage paintwork in the engine bay.

Hi Guys,
Yeah quite puzzled about the ECU, probably really obvious but just cant seem to work it out.
Re the brakes, I have ended up using two rubber reducers and the angled tubes from a VW beetle going to a VW combi dual reservoir. Thus then uses a more normal ID hose, although everyone here seems to just recommend regular rubber fuel hose.
Cheers,
Rob

Don't know anything specific about these looms at all, but in general terms, where you can fit the various bits, including the ECU, depends on the model and age of the donor car.
Improvements, for fitting into an E30, can usually be made by unwrapping the loom, rearranging it, and re wrapping. Often you will find that extending just a couple of wires will enable large improvements.
