1987 e30 v8 not cranking over

hi guys I have a 1987 325i auto shell with a 740i motor in place I have the fuel pump priming but it wont crank over
engine loom is 1992 auto, ecu is 404.
please help

New conversion? Has it ever cranked?
Have you converted it to manual?

its a new conversion ,no its not cranked over and I converted it to manual I think its wiring fault

Auto inhibitor wiring?

From memory you can unplug the inhibitor loom which will leave two yellow/black wires loose above the gearbox - plug these two together.

Did the 740 have ews ecu? If so you need to cut the green wire going to pin 66 on ecu.

Dunno, but if pin 66 is a green wire, cut it and try start it.

on my loom pin 66 is black & yellow still no joy

I had ripped out the after market alarm system so had a few wires to by pass to get it going
