Hey there just after a quick bit of info about wiring up an oil warning lamp.

Ive got a nissan sil80 that ive transplanted a m62 from a 840ci, its 99% done but ive got a couple of issues that need ironing out, one of which is getting a working oil warning lamp.

Unfortunately some tit didn't leave the wiring in for the stock oil pressure switch  and I don't have the stock oil filter housing anymore anyway lol

So im wiring the lamp up to the high/low level sensor on the sump (would be nice to know if it dumps its oil). Ive got three wires, one brown for earth, one blue/white and one blue yellow which ive wired in to but the warning lamp is on constantly.

See im not sure which wire is for low level. I might have the right wire but a dud sensor? Thought id ask which wire is low level

It has two circuits - one for "power on" and another one for "ignition on / engine running".

WDS will tell you how it works, try putting "BMW wiring diagram system" on google and you'll find plenty of options ;)
