guys today i tought id have a go at wiring the engine to the e30 loom plug near the fuse box.

i got a wiring diagram from e30.de but when i tried to match the pins and colours they are not matching.

do e34 and e32 have different colour wires?

and the engine im using is from a e32 740i auto.

because the wiring diagram states e34 to e30 wiring diagram at the top so got me thinking is that why they are not matching up?

really need to get to the bottom of this because i have booked the car in to get the exhaust done and time is ticking away.

does anyone here have a diagram which i can copy which tells me what wire goes to what pin.

your help will be much appreciated.

The wires / pinouts wary a bit between different year models and "one doesn't fit all" ...

www.e30.de has quite comprehensive list of pinouts for different year models (both e30 and m60-variants).. also putting "BMW Wiring Diagram" to Google helps a lot ;)
