My local scrap yard just got a E28 750il and the hydro boost is looking very tempting.

Is it possible o put the hydro boost master cylinder in the stock location? If so, how?

When I look in my engine bay the LH valve cover over shadow's 1/3 of the master cylinder hole. I would need to bias the engine further to the right and drop it way down.

Any suggestions?

It can be done many ways, but do not rotate the engine - it has to be as straight as possible.

You need to modify the linkage in order to fit the MC in there, not a big job.

Hydro boost brakes are brakes that are hydraulically assisted. Instead of using engine vacuum in a traditional booster the system uses hydraulic preasure from a pump (in BMW's case the power steering pump). See link...

Modify the linkage in what way? Are you suggesting remote mount and create a linkage?
I was reading Glenn's S62 build and his looks like its just bolted in the factory location. (I'm assuming the S62 is dimensionally the same as my M60)

there isn't enough room to mount it in the 'original' location,
i've mounted mine off the nearside turret tower.
i'll try and get a better pic for you over the weekend

You'll find out how to modify it when you get a look :) Hard to explain..

S62 is otherwise like M60, but the intake-things are very different so the whole package is bit higher. Same engine mounts and flywheel can be used as with M6x.
