Hi all,
Need some advice on how best to do this.
Have an M50 radiator (with fluid reservoir built into side of rad) on my S50 converted e30.
AFAIK the S50 has a self bleeding system originally, however with the M50 radiator this has complicated matters.
Can anyone advise on how best to carry this out?
Many thanks,
adil

I would fill the system
keep the cap off start the car and turn the heater up
run the car and see if you get bubbles
put the cap on and see if the heater gets warm and the pipes harden
if not turn it all off and disconnect the heater pipes and check the water is getting to the matrix
I ran my s50 with a m50 rad - it didn't like it(when tracked!) and runs loads better on the larger s50 rad and header tank!

Thanks Crossie,
Im going to plumb in a s50 radiator I think - don't think the engine likes the m50 rad very much!
Cheers,
adil
