Coolant pressure

I just noticed that the E36 S50B30 has a 2.0 bar bottle cap on the expansion tank. You guys all use this or are there also running with lower pressures. I also saw that it only has a 80 degC thermostat so that implies that the 2.0 bar is way overkill.

Curious to your opinnions/experiences.

E30 cap is 1.5bar IIRC
Cant see why it would be a problem but it depends how fragile your cooling system is
