How does everyone's accelerator pedal feel? Mine is a bit hard to press. Can't remember the feeling when I had the M40 in there but it's much harder than other cars I've driven. I think there's something to do with the springs in the throttle bodies. Is this normal for the S50 or is there something I can fix?

Mine feels about the same as the one in my m20 but both are on new cables. Perhaps it is your cable is getting on a bit and is stiff

Mine is a new cable also. Or is it the way I route it through the firewall?

Nah, it should be ok through the firewall. To be honest it depends what you are comparing it too. Mine are still heavier than most cars, especially modern one's which run on fly-by-wire throttle bodies. does it still feel ok (i.e. are you happy with the weight, or does it bother you)? If so I'd just stick with it unless it seems ridiculously bad which could point to something being wrong with it.

My car is a bit difficult to move the pedal smoothly from resting position, once you get past the first inch or so it becomes smooth, makes pulling away a bit awkward = loads of revs
Not S50 though, M52

Yes the resting position is what's bothering me, especially when changing to the 2nd gear.
I don't like the fact that the E36 M3 throttle cable makes an angle where it enters the firewall. I suspect that is a part of the reasons why the pedal is a bit heavy.
