I am having a few issues with my car, its running rough and very hesitant between 2000 - 3000 rpm, and some times on start up it pops and bangs down the exhaust.

I've tried new maf, icv, plus, coils, injectors ect

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try next; it’s not coming up with any fault codes.

Sounds like a vacuum / unmetered air leak .

what happens if you disconnect the MAF ?
With great challenges comes great engineering.

Have checked all rubber pipes and they all seem ok, have tried sprayin leak detector stuff and it didn't find ewt but worth another check.

When i disconect the maf it starts to run uneven on tick over

Seems strange, it ran like a watch in its old home :? I believe the early cars need some sort of speed sensor signal wiring up to the ecu, have you done this? Have you tried leaving the battery off for a while after changing things?

Does seem a bit of a odd one, its bafflin people up here. Just little teethin problems, all part of havin moddifed cars int it.

Yeah had sorted the speed sensor n rev counter plug into the right place when i fitted the facelift 2.5 engine n ecu last year.

Nah not left it disconected will give that a try tonight and see if its any different tomorrow.

Changed the blue temp sensor now and reset the ecu (still wasn't any codes coming up), its still playing up and drinking its fuel :(

just done a run on the motorway and keeping it to 60 - 70 its done 20mpg and all the plugs are black, will keep tinkering with it for now

any suggestions would be great as i am running out of things to try and replace now

is there anyway of knowing if its in limp? and how to get it out of it?

the lambas are next on the list to look at, can they be tested or is it just a case or buy new ones and try them
