Slight pinking

Ive got a problem with my s50b30 engine it, gets hesitant @ 2500 rpm and splutters and pinks a bit, it doesnt do it all the time but will do it both when the engine is warm or cold, Plugs are newish (4K on them) so im wondering what could be the cause

Finny's Evo pinks alittle bit around 2K at times too. Octane booster and fuel additive makes a big difference to it though.

Are you coils in good condition?
Bad ones would cause a splutter and hesitation.

Im Not sure Dave someone else told me it could be a dodgy coil, today it wasworse than any other day spluttered like a bastard from 2k to nearly 3k revs then it was sound, but seems harder on petrol lately!!!
