hi folks

ive just converted my e30 to S50 but wont start, the only pin with power on the E30 20 pin plug, when ignition on, is pin 13( fuel pump) no power to ecu, starter rely, ignition etc etc

does anyone have any thoughts that can point me in right direction ?

does the E 30 have a factory imob that needs bypassed ? only thing that doesnt add up is the e30 had a m52 fitted when i bought it that started on the key with no imob or anything

any help appriciated

cheers

An E30 had an immobiliser if an OBC was fitted in place of the clock, or an alarm/immobiliser was asked for in the options list. These could have been a BMW alarm/immobiliser, or one of two approved aftermarket items. All are very simple and extremely easy to bypass.
There appears to be something very wrong with your wiring - pin 13 should not have power on it. The only pins of the C101 that should have power with just the ignition switch on is pin 7 (and pin 20 on later ABS equipped cars). Pin 18 should become live when the ignition switch is turned to 'start'.
Is the main engine to body earth strap in place?
