I'd start with the wiki.

The wiki isn't great for S50 swap info. Best bet is to search through this S50 engine swap section of the forum as all the info is there.
This is a copy from another thread of the basics needed...

If you can't diy the conversion, find someone (either a conversion specialist or even a trusted Zoner) who has done them before. I wouldn't let a 'normal' garage have a go at it

And a build thread using an S50B32...The list of parts is endless!!!! a whole e36 m3 is the best place to start, and then..... e28 m5 or AKG engine mounts, a brake servo solution, a oil cooler solution, various bmw water hoses, a e34 sump, pick up and dipstick, a e36 328 or custom prop (depending on the gearbox you use), and a custom manifold, and a mate who is a wiring legend. you dont need a unlocked ecu, a pre EWS is a option or most peolpe just wire up the EWS using parts from the e36. this is just what i can think of on the spot, there is plenty more!!! do a serch to find the rest
