ive bought an e36 m3 radiator for my s50 conversion and its got a brass plug in the left hand side near the top if your looking at it from the front of the car,can a fan switch be screwed in, in place of the plug and if so does anyone have a part number for said switch

Yes, that's the place for the fan switch. Don't have the part number to hand, but it will be on Realoem or BMWfans.

what model bmw car do i want the fan switch out of anyone no to fit the m3 radiator

I ordered mine for my S50B30, but I'm sure it's the same switch used in many BMWs.

61 31 1 378 073 - From BMWfans is the part number for the 91/99 degree double temp switch.

Depends what temp stat you are running, if your using an 80 stat and no viscous fan you will want an 80/88 fan switch, part number for that is 61 31 8 361 787

yes ive removed viscous fan so its to run electric
