anyone had a power run with an s50 powered car with a btb exhaust system
am looking at different exhaust systems for my car at the minute.
s50 power run

My B30 made various figures on different RRs. 292bhp was the lowest, 298 the highest. I was annoyed it didn't quite make the 300bhp mark!
(although it did make 304bhp on a set of rollers that were well know for over reading!)
The figures seamed to be fairly constant, so I guesstimated around 295bhp for pub ammo
My mates 280bhp Scooby couldn't keep up with me
That was with the BTB manifold and X-pipe, but a custom exhaust. Afaik, the engine itself was standard (other than a heat shielded cone filter) but the ECU case had been opened, so that may of been fiddled with by a previous owner.
I usually take RR figures with a pinch of salt and just use them as a way to see any gains or losses made from any mods.

For 300 at the wheels you would need more than an exhaust, cams/intake mods etccrossie wrote:cheers my car made 260 @wheels but has a standard e36 m3 system including the cats
just seeing if a nice system could get it towards the 300 mark.
