I only got this when he car was in the air when I had my S50 manifold on the M52 in the touring.
But I think the pipes had been modified from standard too and they still touched with the suspension free to hand down.

mine touched whilst jacked up but when on the ground left me with a 1cm gap, didnt feel comfortable with it so i ended up using spacers on the arb mounts, now i have 3cm.
but some people dont have problems i did.

Modified to fit the E30 I take it?crossie wrote:S50 standard manifold
Mine was a btb one, which is basically a modified S50 manifold. Sounds like you might need to space the arb down a little to get the clearance if your manifolds weren't modified enough to clear them.

Interesting.... get some pics up. That is a different approach to the conversioncrossie wrote:LOL - E30 modified to take the S50 manifold!jmc330i wrote:Modified to fit the E30 I take it?crossie wrote:S50 standard manifold

It would also explain the manifold hitting the ARB I guess. You may struggle for advice as most conversions on here use modded manifolds, rather than completely standard ones with the car modded around them.
At a guess (without seeing pics), you'll probably have to space the ARB down.

-modify firewall
-modify subframe
-change ARB
-different lollypop
My car is also a LHD
I spaced the ARB down, modified the firewall and ran treehouse racing lollypops to clear the manifold, but the manifold sits too low so the bottom flanges will need cutting off and welding higher up, unless your car is mega high.
