Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get an answer on this before I go and buy one.

My car was an M40 and I'm putting an M44B19 in, what throttle cable do I use? Most swap threads I seen, don't say what cable got used.

Mines still running the M40 cable but it is a bit too short. I was given a new M44 cable a while back but still haven't got round to trying it, so I'm not sure if it's suitable or not.

Ok cool, I can't seem to find the m40 one but I have an M44 one still in the compact, might try that. Been told to try the m42 cable also

Just a thought, are you using the M44 inlet etc or have you swapped to the M42 stuff?

Keeping all the M44 stuff for now dude. This engine is only to get me back on the road and get me going. Got an M42 to build with cams and ITBs after
But I will let you know how the M44 cable fits

Well turns out if you're keeping all the m44 stuff on the engine, the cable from the 318ti compact is a perfect length for an e30 too a‘aaa»a˜a
