Havn't posted on here for a while as my little bro took my E30 off my hands.
But its come back to me now and it wont start.

Here's the story...
The crankshaft pulley bolt has been working itself loose and the pulley has drawn itself out, enough so that it was hitting the water pump, grinding the teeth down a bit.

We pushed the pulley back in and bolted it up. Now when we crank it it seems to fire through the intake as if timing is wildly out.
I checked the cams and they're spot on still.

So my question is can the pulley be put on in the wrong place or does the key go far enough to be able to lock on?

Cheers
Mark
