long life 4 oil in a M40

Just did an oil change today using Quantum Platinum 5-40 It's rated to BMW LL04 how long should I run it for?
The car's doing about 10k a year at the moment a yearly service would work well for me. Or am I pushing my luck?

I do mine every 5,000 miles or once a year; whichever sooner.

I'd have thought that a yearly/10,000-mile interval would be fine.

Sounds lovely on a cold start now.
I'm aiming for 10k but will keep an eye on it.
