I have a 98k e30 318is m42 engine here.
You would need the 318is exhaust system and engine mounts. You can use your m40 gearbox and prop though.

you may need a 4.10 diff if you want the motorway driving to be better. Is the diff iS came with.Alf94 wrote:Okay mate so everything's the same apart from exhaust and engine mounts? Would I need a new diff? I'm not looking for an engine yet but how much u looking for buddy?
I'd be looking for around £220 for the engine. It's low mileage and before I put it in my car I changed a lot of gaskets etc.
You will need exhaust and engine mounts though because the parts I used were race parts and aren't suitable on a road car.
Cheers

the LSD option was rare but most of them are just standard small case open diffs.Alf94 wrote:Okay mate, the 4.10 is a LSD isn't it?
