316i swap with m42 1.8 16v few questions

hi guys dont shoot me down i have had a look around before posting like a total noob, just a few questions i want to clear up about the swap tho before i find an engine.

will the 316 gearbox and propshaft mate to the m42?

shall i use the inlet manifold from the 316?

do i need the complete exhaust system from a 318?

Yes, no, yes.

Existing gearbox and prop are fine.
Leave the inlet manifold on the m42.
Complete 318is exhaust system required,
