hi im new here but im on my 3rd e30 now, i have an m40 engine and i would love to do a twin weber dcoe carb conversion.

I have seen a vidio of an m40 on carbs on youtube, ( but i cant seem to find a conversion manifold anywhere.

Does anyone know if a manifold is available anywhere?

I have found various places that sell manifolds for an m20 325 conversion, but id like to stick with the 4 pot if possible.

If you want something like that buy some bike throttle bodies instead. Carbs are rubbish.

Better to do a budget turbo conversion.

thats if you buy them in the uk. From the states you'll be looking at 110-130 each.
A good excuse for a little holiday :D

But then you'll need some rebuild kits and a range of jets.
The sound will be amazing when giving it full beans but on idle it'll sound as if half the bolts under the bonnet are loose.

My pal dropped a set on his 94 blade (tuned engine that was running an injection system and remap) the fcr's now make it effin mental.

I'm slinging one (thankfully) on my MZ over winter and if I can find a good source in the for all the bits I'm tempted to put 6 on my M20. Even if it doesn't do the business I'll still be able to sell them over here at a good profit.
Over here a new 39mm fcr is 660 plus the dreaded.

Cheers fella my man has given up his workshop and packed away his machines and toolings.
I'll bookmark them for the new year, have you used them?

Not used them, but know people who have and they have a good rep also. They are basically guys who have raced their own cars for years and made their own stuff, this evolved over time as people asked them to make stuff up for them, it then became a full time concern.
