Hi guys

Does anyone have a verified and accurate diagram of the motronic pin outs in an m42 175 ecu?

It is unclear from your provided wiring diagram if the Coil pack, spark trigger wires are connected to each other.

I think its the middle one in the coil connector.

Do you know if these are connected anywhere in the loom?

Don't understand your question. Coil triggers are quite clearly separately connected to ECU pins 24, 25, 51 and 52.

yes, but are they connected together after the ECU at any point in the loom?

I am wondering if they fire independently or is the sequential firing the result of a combined signal?

If I were to connect a multimeter across any two the trigger wires at the coil plug end would I be able to measure continuity between coil plugs?

Can all be fired independently.
With the ECU and coil packs unplugged, there should be no continuity between any of the trigger wires.

Thanks for the help, i have continuity across pins 2 and 3 but not pin 1.

Does that mean that pin 1 is the trigger?

?? Wiring diagram clearly shows that pin 1 of the coils is the trigger. 2 is earth for the secondary, and 3 is 12 volts+ for the primary.
