e36 m44 into e30

helping a mate with a M44 into e30. He only has the M44 engine mount outrigger brackets. Can we juggle engine mounts ie rotate the offset mounts to fit?

You will need E30 M42 engine mounts, the M44 mounts hit the inside of the chassis no matter how you rotate them.
You can use the M40 mounts with hydraulic damper, but the vibrations are worse than with the M42 mounts.

I have a complete M44 running in my touring, rather than the usual M44 with M42 intake and wiring.
I do have a build thread of mine, but I've not updated it in well over a year - the car with M44 has been in daily use since May 2014.
