Hi folks,

All of the hoses under the bonnet of my 318is are shot. They're starting to cause me a lot of trouble as they fail one by one.

I'm hoping to replace all of the hoses I can in one go but I'm really struggling to find a kit for this engine. I am also wondering if there are any opportunities to upgrade rather than just replace.

Please can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks! :)

The iS was only sold over here for 2yrs, so non genuine parts are few and far between.
Plus, you won't get much of an upgrade over BMW hoses - you'll probably find that most of them on your engine are the original hoses, so buy from the dealer, fit and forget.

That's great, looks like a good idea to me. I trust there are no real downsides to this in practice? I use my car daily even through the winter. Thanks :)

Be very wary of the hose that goes from the heater to the rear of the head. There is a steel stub that is pressed into the alloy head and it can corrode away to virtually nothing. It's a major manifold off mission to grind the old one out and press a replacement in.
