I am currently changing the timing chain case and I have got the crank pulley at TDC. I just want to see where the timing sprockets should be when the crank is at TDC. I don't have the chain attached so I could move them all in time.
Are there any diagrams or any pictures that will show where the timing marks will be ?
Thanks
Lee

im sure on those the cam sprockets have arrows which should point directly up (12 o'clock)
That's correct also as a check the cyl 1 lobes need to point up and towards each other. Remember that sometimes the intake cam might have been advanced by a previous owner.NoTurbo wrote:Not sure, as far as I know there is a locking pin locator in the bottom end where you can use a screwdriver to lock the flywheel in place with Cyl 1 at TDC.
Found this on another forum:
Start by setting the crank pulley to TDC. Then move up to the cams. Take the cam gears off and rotate each cam until the front lobe points toward the other cam at about a 45 degree angle. Put the cam gears back on and leave the bolts loose. Now move to the blocks on the rear of the cams. They should be pretty close to square. Put a decent straight edge on the blocks and adjust each cam untill they are perfectly square. Tighten the cam gear bolts and youre done
