top man thanks for that it seems the best way is to get the 325i clutch and aluminum flywheel

Seems like you've been given quite abit of information tbh.

What are you doing with the car? Racing, track days, road? If it isn't the first and you're not running double standard power you don't need a super upgrade clutch because it will be cack to balance on the road and you wont get best bang for buck from it. IMO you're best off lightening an M42 flywheel and buying a decent quality OEM quality (LUK, Sachs etc.) clutch.
