Hi,

I've been looking for an E36 donor car for a while now and struggling. I've been offered an E39 528i 1997 instead.

What are the drawbacks of using this as a donor vehicle for an engine swap (M52B28) into my E30?

Thanks,
:)
Moredoor autos with small engines are cool - but my new m20b25 is awesome!

You will need an E36 loom, PAS pump and engine mount arms, everything else is the same

Hi Dan,

is that an E36 engine loom? Can you adapt the one there with one of your kits?

Thanks for the info,
Jona.

Yes E36 engine loom, The E39 loom is very short as the ECU is mounted in the engine bay so is not worth bothering with IMO

Ok, so buy an e36 engine loom and send it to you for adapting?
Thanks again.
