Ive got a getrag box and bought a zf box but has turned out to be a 320d box.
Are these any good and would it fit with m20 clutch and flywheel?
I was going to stick with the getrag but have read the 320d box sits 10 degree more upright to alliw clearance for turbo so a higher engine mount is needed on drivers side, but would this not give more space around steering shaft area?

It sits the same as an M20 box would, no extra clearance anywhere, just headaches

Not worth the hassle dan?
Think Il stick with the getrag for now and sell the diesel box on.

Im not sure if the 5 speed has a different input shaft spline, my 6 speed definitely does and the length of the input shaft is too short, you will have to modify the linkages too, plus first gear will be much too short.

Just buy a 328i box and have more free time :D
