Hello,

At the moment i use an porsche 924 or 944 (not sure wich one)brake booster in my m52b28 e30. But i have problems with it.

The problem is that my brake pedal won't come back all the way, its about half way and that causes my brakes to jam and overheat, so i put a stronger spring at the pedal to pull the pedal back. I know this is not the way to go and i don't feel fine with this solution.
If i disconnect the vacuum hose from the engine the pedal will come back all the way.

So i thought maybe the spring in the brake booster is not strong enough to push the pedal all the way back and i got the booster out of the car.

Is it possible that the vacuum from the engine is stronger than the spring in the brake booster and causes the pedal to not return all the way?
Is there maybe someone else with this problem or someone who uses a porsche brake booster?

gr.

Oke so i just thought of something when i was looking at the brake boosters again.
I just mounted a master cilinder on it and tested both the porsche and the e30 cilinder again. The strenght needed to puch the rod down is about the same.
While i just did this i measured the rod to the pedal again, this was also the same length.

Is it maybe posible that its not the brake booster i have problems with but the master cilinder?

I don't think there is anyone that knows about the 944 servo, no.

Many moons ago, the Porsche servo was used on some of the first 24v swaps on the Zone. I briefly had one for my first 24v swap but never fitted it as the VW Golf servo was found to be a better option at the time.

The servo of choice is now the Clio servo and that's what I'd be fitting in place of the Porsche one.
