In need of some advice.

Are the engine arms the same across all the 6 clyinder e36 engines the same?

For example are the m52 arms the same as what's used on the m51 Diesel engines that are fit to the e36?

Cheers :)

unfortunately not, my own personal experience allowed me to figure out that there are actually two blocks for an m52b28 engine, one being aluminium and one being steel. each one has the holes for the engine mount arms in slightly different places, I assume there will be significant differences for other engine also

That's great advice thank you.
Looks like I'll continue my hunt for some e36 TDS arms instead of risking any other 6cylinder arms.

If you can get one side to fit, and if you can get a hold a welder its fairly easy to make one that fits, which is what I did in the end
