Unlike steering and automatic transmission.
Sorry for the mistakes, I'm using a translator

I would just stick to the m52. No massive gains to be had from the tu and a world of headaches from the wiring.

The exhaust vanos on the 2.8 Tu is just an emissions device - a more sophisticated form of exhaust gas recirculation than the crude idea of the external EGR valve used by lesser manufacturers.

At this time I was working with the guts out
multiplexed canbus system, let's see if it will work with half of these wires

Are you replacing an m52 with an m52tu? If so there is literally no gain to be had

2nd VANOS and it provides some benefit.
I`m driving E30, 1989, 325i, 4 door. Restoring 1990, 4 door.

Bar a tiny boost in low RPM torque, not really.

But it still is a benefit +gives a bit more mpg. But could be a problem due to EWS 3.3 - can it be disabled/code cracked? :)

What I'm saying is that benefit is hardly worth the headache that is messing around with the wiring. Plus, if you have gone to the bother of an engine conversion, chances are you aren't pootling around at low RPM in search of economy.

You can get the ecu flashed I believe.

My ECU guy said he can`t do 3.3 yet, just 3.2 - he hasn`t found a solution. Any zoners able to disable 3.3 ?
