Right....
I was about to start the car for the first time. So i switched the ignition on and the fuel pump didn't fire up....
But as soon as I put a live feed to the pump I could hear it fire up.
Turned the key and boom! fired straight up!
I can put a live feed to both 13 pins and fire up.
Where do I check next? Thanks

The loom was already connected to the engine all i had to do was follow the instructions for which wire went where.

Check you got power going to the plug I had a fault on mine where the plug was a bit loose I bent the male terminals very slightly on the pump end to make more contact with the plug and its fine!

Needed to both pins? Check that the DME and fuel pump or lambda relays haven't been swapped around. Socket for the DME is the only one that has a wire to the centre pin.Davidchurch wrote:

I'm having a similar problem atm, If I turn the key to position 2 the fuel pump doesn't fire. I've put a wire across pin 30 and 87 where the relay plug is and it fires up. I've checked the ecu, fitted a new crank sensor and swapped the plugs around but still nothing
I'm lost as to what it might be.....

Fuel pump isn't supposed to fire up with the ignition switched on. It only runs in response to a signal from the crank position sensor.TheMeathead wrote:I'm having a similar problem atm, If I turn the key to position 2 the fuel pump doesn't fire. Does the engine fire up and run when you have the fuel pump relay bridged?
