m52 other engine codes

hi just ringing breakers yards and the blokes never heard of the engine code m52b28 he has numbers like 206s2??

what whould the single vanos engine code be

That would be the code stamped on the block, 206s2 is a 2.0, the 2.8 engines code starts with 28

You cant find engine with code 286S3 , the engine code is on the side with the intake, down were is engine serial number, to the limit of oil pan adn engine block.
